Job Description
As an HR Compensation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational management of the organization's compensation programs. Your responsibilities will span bonus administration, budgeting and forecasting, merit and promotion proposals, compensation benchmarking, analytics, and ad hoc studies. Portuguese language skills are desirable to support communication with stakeholders in the head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Bonus Provision & Calculation: Administer and calculate bonuses in accordance with established policies and performance criteria. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with HR and Finance teams to develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts for headcount, salaries, and bonuses.
- Merit & Promotion Proposals: Prepare data-driven recommendations for merit increases and promotions, incorporating performance evaluations and market competitiveness.
- Compensation Benchmarking & Studies: Conduct internal and external compensation analyses to assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of compensation structures.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate and interpret compensation reports and dashboards. Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ad Hoc Simulations & Scenario Modeling: Perform simulations and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of proposed compensation changes or organizational shifts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, particularly those of Itaú.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in compensation or total rewards, preferably within the financial services industry.
Technical Expertise
- Solid understanding of compensation principles, salary structures, incentive plans, and market pricing methodologies.
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English is required; Portuguese proficiency is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.
Attention to Detail
- High level of accuracy in data handling and financial calculations.
Communication & Collaboration
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and present findings to stakeholders.
Technology Proficiency
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS and analytics tools (e.g., UKG, Power BI) for data management and reporting.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
