HR Specialist

The HR Specialist supports the implementation of HR processes for locations outside Switzerland and acts as a point of contact for employees and managers in HR matters. The role is part of the HR Consulting team and contributes to the optimization of HR processes and services.

Job description

Tasks

  • Employee Lifecycle Management and People Support:
    • Ensure proper implementation of all applicable HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle for the assigned global perimeter, including all information flows (joining, leaving, transferring, salary review, bonus, maternity leave, background checks, etc.).
    • Coordinate and lead onboarding processes for new employees, including induction and materials.
    • Provide guidance, advice and problem solving to employees on HR matters throughout the employee experience at EFG.
    • Manage escalated or non-routine employee issues and resolve process deviations using sound judgment, identification and proactive troubleshooting.
    • Close cooperation with HR business partners and local HR managers, taking into account local regulatory and labor law specifics.
  • Data management:
    • Responsibility for the integrity of employee master data in HRIS (Oracle Fusion) and management of personnel files.
    • Ensuring the strict quality of employee data across all EFG locations.
  • Operational excellence & digitalization:
    • Drive assigned initiatives to review, digitize and streamline HR processes on a global level and coordinate with the broader HR team.
    • Perform regulatory HR-related due diligence activities and support continuous process refinement.
    • Regular audits of team outputs to ensure quality and compliance; identifying gaps and recommending improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in structured HR departments
  • Diploma or university degree, preferably in human resources, organizational development or a related field
  • International mindset and multicultural experience
  • Customer and people-oriented, able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and positive attitude, tireless energy and intellectual curiosity
  • Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills; able to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively and deliver in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential data and information
  • Comfortable with IT tools and solid skills in MS Office programs, especially Excel (mandatory)
  • Excellent knowledge of English (mandatory), other languages are an advantage
