Human Capital Business Partner VP

The Human Capital Business Partner VP supports management in the implementation of HR strategies and plans and acts as a liaison between employees and management. The focus is on promoting employee motivation, retention and development as well as ensuring effective and efficient HR service delivery.

Job description

Tasks

  • Act as a generalist HC and serve as a direct point of contact for professionals to answer internal inquiries regarding company policies and practices, benefits and labor issues, and training needs/opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of the business and build effective working relationships to monitor the 'pulse' of employees and drive continuous improvement in employee engagement.
  • Advise and support key stakeholders in important decisions on people-related topics such as organizational design, culture development, compensation and benefits practices, and leadership development.

Main responsibilities

  • Learning & Development: Identify learning needs for the team and work with the Group HC team to develop and deliver the best learning experiences.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Partner with the Group HC team to manage employee relations cases and ensure fair, consistent and transparent processes.
  • Lead and partner on projects to develop and implement employment policies and procedures, in collaboration with the Group HC team.
  • Performance management, talent management: supporting the team in achieving their personal goals and the goals of their teams.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in HR or related areas within financial services.
  • Ability to understand business objectives and experience in interacting at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven hands-on attitude and flexibility.
  • Ability to take responsibility and work autonomously while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters sensitively and consciously.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills; experience in managing ambiguity and analyzing HC metrics.

Basic requirements

  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CIPD) desirable but not required.
  • 9 or more years of experience in financial services.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
