Hybrid Cloud Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a passionate Hybrid Cloud Engineer with a strong VMware background to join our dynamic infrastructure team. If you are passionate about driving innovation and have a burning passion for VMware, this role is for you. Our infrastructure team is focused on integrating data into our Azure cloud environment while supporting legacy on-premise infrastructure on VMware servers and Active Directory.

Tasks

• Main person responsible for the internal VMware environment;
• Implementation of hybrid IT solutions for the integration of various cloud services with traditional data centers;
• Advise existing employees on cloud computing best practices and technology to drive cloud adoption.

Requirements

• You have extensive experience in the administration and maintenance of ESXi environments based on VMware;
• You have a broad skillset in infrastructure, especially with Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra;
• In addition to scripting, you also have initial experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure);
• You are proactive, ambitious and willing to learn;
• It is a matter of course for you to react professionally and promptly to technical problems;
• You have proven experience in the integration of systems and have gained experience in ensuring the interoperability of new and existing systems;
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (preferably with Terraform) and CI/CD workflows and Git is a plus.
