IAM Analyst
The IAM Analyst supports the Identity and Access Management team in identifying governance processes and implementing identity governance and administration platforms. The role involves both the operation of IAM services and participation in projects to implement SailPoint IdentityNow and other IAM solutions.
Tasks
The role of an IAM analyst involves both operational and project-based tasks. The main responsibilities are:- Perform day-to-day IAM operations and ensure that all access changes, additions, and terminations are carried out in accordance with company policies
- Manage access requirements for internal and external users and ensure that SailPoint and related systems are kept up to date
- Create and manage access review campaigns within SailPoint, including preparation, testing, training, business approval, and resolving access removals
- Manage the IAM support queue, team mailbox, and Slack channel, and ensure that responses are timely and of high quality
- Monitor SailPoint jobs and processes daily, proactively identify and resolve issues
- Support internal and external audits by gathering evidence and preparing responses
Requirements
The following requirements are necessary:- 3–6 years of experience in identity and access management in the financial sector or a similarly regulated environment
- Practical experience with an IGA platform (preferably SailPoint IdentityNow; SailPoint IQ, Savynt, or similar technologies)
- Experience with user access verification and certification campaigns
- Proficient with data and technology stacks, including Excel and Python scripts for automation and data manipulation, as well as working with REST APIs and transforming or reconciling large datasets
- Experience with Active Directory administration
- Experience with onboarding applications to an IDM platform, including access analysis, permission modeling, and connectivity configuration
- Strong communication skills to engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
- A problem-solving approach; someone who asks, "Why do we do it this way?" and suggests better alternatives
