IAM APAC Director
The IAM APAC Director (Identity and Access Management) is responsible for the development and implementation of the IAM strategy in the APAC region and leads a team of IAM experts. The candidate should have experience in IAM, technical expertise and strong leadership skills.
Job description: IAM APAC Director
Tasks
- Define and communicate the IAM roadmap for APAC, including technology adoption, process improvements and team development.
- Develop and execute the APAC IAM strategy, aligned with global IAM initiatives and regional business objectives.
- Work with global IAM leadership and other regional directors to ensure consistency and coherence in the IAM landscape.
- Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of robust IAM solutions, including:
- Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
- Access Management (SSO, MFA, Federation)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Customer IAM (CIAM)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for IAM processes, automation and tools.
- Manage IAM-related incidents, problems and changes to ensure timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team of IAM professionals across engineering, operations and governance functions.
- Conduct performance reviews, set clear goals and provide regular feedback to direct reports.
- Driving talent acquisition and retention to ensure the team has the right skills and capacity for future requirements.
- Conduct and support internal and external audits related to IAM, address findings and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and report key IAM metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate controls to mitigate IAM-related risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for IAM in APAC, engaging with business leaders, regional security teams and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Broad understanding of Identity and Access Management, with expert knowledge in Identity Governance and Administration.
- Understanding of identity-related regulatory requirements for all global regions.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain internal and external business relationships and utilize these relationships to achieve daily goals and responsibilities.
- Excellent consulting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth functional/industry-specific knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of information security, network management, operating systems, software development and/or information technology concepts and/or experience is required to effectively lead the team.
