IAM Software Engineer
The IAM Software Engineer is responsible for the implementation and improvement of Identity and Access Management systems and works closely with customers and partners to ensure that access and security requirements are met. The role includes both operational and developmental tasks in a collaborative team environment.
Job description
Tasks
- Preparation and setup of applications, testing of data for identity and access management projects
- Interact with customers to troubleshoot application issues and determine if a revision is required
- Learning and adhering to identity and access management principles and objectives
- Analysis of customer inquiries to determine the necessary requirements
- Implementation and improvement of extensions to the access control system
- Management of the consulting practice with business partners for security topics
- Maintain relationships with partners to manage the effectiveness of the access security lifecycle management process
- Migration of risks from conversions to partners
- Independent work; sound knowledge of the business area / function
- As a technical expert: comprehensive, well-founded advice for the team and partners at a high technical level
- Carrying out large-scale activities that are cross-functional and technically difficult
- The role is balanced between highly technical execution and development as well as execution of strategic guidelines for business activities
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Highly motivated, independent and with solid execution skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills required
- Experience in the creation of business requirements and test results
- Experience in leading requirements meetings
- Demonstrates critical thinking and probes beyond the surface of the requested data to obtain valuable (actionable) information
- A sound understanding of information security is an advantage
- Very flexible and adaptable to change
- Excellent people skills are also required as this position interacts with all levels of resources throughout the organization
- Sound functional/industry knowledge, such as IT audit, IT risk management and information security, is an advantage
Nice to Have
- Cloud-based container architecture on Azure and/or AWS
- IAM/IGA product knowledge
Tasks and responsibilities
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of application problems in production
- Leads the troubleshooting, analysis and resolution of unexpected system behavior that affects service quality
- Communication with stakeholders (technical and business) when solving problems
- Communication of status/solution status (written and verbal) to the project team and management
- Minor production bug fixes
- Disaster recovery and patch tests
- Carrying out setup configuration tasks in connection with the application connection
- Performing reconciliation and reporting of identity and access data
- Access check/audit activity
Further experience
- A university degree and/or relevant, proven professional experience in the field of information security required
- Industry-specific certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC5 is preferred
- Proven experience working with commercial IAM products for a large organization (preferably 5000+ employees / external users), including developing solutions for identity management, user provisioning, single sign-on and reduced sign-on, and web access management solutions
