Real Estate Specialist

About this position

At BC FKB, you’ll be part of a team that provides tailored solutions to drive the local economy forward. As part of the expansion of our Real Estate Valuation unit, we are looking for an experienced real estate expert to appraise properties that serve as collateral for our financing.

Your main tasks

* Conducting real estate appraisals in accordance with Swiss market standards and applicable regulations, as well as within the framework of internal competency guidelines * Conducting on-site inspections, analyzing the condition of the properties, their surroundings, their potential, and the associated risks * Preparing comprehensive, documented appraisal reports that comply with internal and regulatory requirements * Reviewing real estate appraisals delegated to the sales organization * Contributing to the continuous improvement of valuation models and internal processes * Monitoring the Swiss real estate market, including regional trends, price trends, and changes in risk, in collaboration with the credit risk management and monitoring team * Monitoring and analyzing real estate market developments in collaboration with the relevant risk team * Representing the bank in dealings with external partners (e.g., licensed external real estate experts, architects, property managers, etc.)

Your profile

* Advanced education in real estate, architecture, engineering, business, finance, or an equivalent field * Recognized certification in real estate appraisal (e.g., USP, SVIT, SIV, or training as a real estate expert with a Swiss Federal Certificate or MAS/DAS/CAS) * Substantial experience (at least 3–5 years) in real estate valuation in Switzerland, with excellent knowledge of the Swiss real estate market and its regional/cantonal characteristics * Proficiency in various valuation methods (e.g., hedonic, capitalization, income approach, DCF, net asset value, etc.) * Proficiency in using digital valuation tools (particularly Wüest Dimensions) as well as banking systems; * Banking experience is a plus * Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make well-informed and well-reasoned decisions * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Native speaker of French or German with good knowledge of the other language * Independence, a sense of responsibility, team spirit, and a solution-oriented mindset
