Computer Scientist in the Support Department

The Swiss National Bank is seeking an IT specialist (80–100%) for its Support Division in Bern to provide support to the Client Expert Team and the IT Service Desk. The position offers a diverse range of responsibilities and the opportunity to work in a central bank-style IT environment.

Your tasks

  • Support within the Client Expert Team—acting as the interface between End-User Support and Client Engineering;
  • IT Service Desk & 1st Level Support - Handling and resolving IT issues;
  • Provisioning and administration of electronic workstations (desktops, laptops, printers, smart devices, etc.);
  • Operational activities in the areas of electronic workstations, unified communications, and smart devices;
  • Participation and technical responsibility in various IT departments;

Your profile

  • At least 2 years of experience in enterprise client management (companies with 200 or more employees);
  • In-depth knowledge of software distribution, patch management, and Windows release management;
  • Proficiency in using Windows client systems, monitoring tools, and common messaging solutions;
  • Practical experience in first-level end-user support (ticket handling, phone and on-site support);
  • Experience with automated deployment tools and IT service management (ITIL) processes;
  • Strong customer service and communication skills;
