Information Security Officer (m/f)
Glarner Kantonalbank is seeking a dedicated and assertive individual to serve as Information Security Officer, responsible for managing risks and implementing the information security strategy. In this role, the Information Security Officer will work closely with the CISO to establish a sustainable security culture in a highly regulated environment.
Tasks
- Maintaining and improving information security and adapting it to changing regulatory requirements
- Developing and improving an appropriate internal control system (ICS) for information security; conducting audits within one’s own area of responsibility and identifying potential improvement measures
- Planning and coordination of technical and organizational information security assessments
- Assistance in handling information security incidents and any related data breaches
- Advising the head of the IT department and IT staff on the implementation and execution of information security processes
- Advising and supporting those responsible in fulfilling their duties regarding information security
- Support for training and raising employee awareness regarding information security
- Support for external and internal audits on information security issues
- Coordination of information security issues
- Definition of security variables and regular reporting on information security
Requirements
- Advanced vocational training (HF, university of applied sciences, or university degree), preferably in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field
- Additional training in information security is a plus (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, MAS)
- Several years (at least 5 years) of professional experience in a comparable position in a regulated environment or as an information security consultant
- Time management, a structured approach to work, the ability to make fact-based and analytical decisions, and a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset
