Mainframe Middleware Systems Engineer
Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV) is seeking an experienced mainframe middleware systems engineer to handle the installation, configuration, and support of mainframe systems. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience in this field and a solid understanding of CICS, DB2, MQ, and other mainframe technologies.
Tasks
Your main responsibilities: * Assist with the installation, configuration, and support of CICS, DB2, MQ, File Transfer, and CTG subsystems in a Z/OS Sysplex environment; develop or maintain the "utilities" that track and provide traceability for batch processing runs via our desktop publishing system.Requirements
* Experienced in configuring and operating CICS, DB2, and MQ on Z/OS, * expert in JCL, REXX, REXX ISPF, and RACF, * Knowledge of COBOL, REXX, DB2, and assembly language, * Strong knowledge of Z/OS, USS, and MVS storage management tools (DFSMS, DFSMM, and DFHSM), * Operational knowledge of middleware on Z/OS: CICS (options: CICSPLEX, DB2, MQ), WAS, IHS, CTG, and DB2 to provide on-call support, * basic knowledge of: TWS/ORC, HSM, Java, and Unix. * Graduate degree in computer science (Master’s or equivalent), * 5–10 years of experience in a Mainframe systems engineer role, * hands-on experience installing and configuring Mainframe software and providing Level 3 technical support, * Ability to provide on-call and production support outside of business hours and on weekends, * Sense of responsibility, thoroughness, and autonomy, * Solution-oriented, service-minded, and a team player, * Fluent in French and very good command of English, * Swiss resident or willing to relocate to Switzerland.We offer
