Input Engineer, Document Management

Zürcher Kantonalbank is seeking an Input Engineer for Document Management in Zurich who, using Java, will develop automation solutions and ensure the integration of documents into the system landscape. The position involves maintaining Java components, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of input workflows.

Your tasks

  • Design and development of automation and self-service solutions (e.g., import, classification, routing) to accelerate end-to-end process chains
  • Maintenance and Support of Java-Based Components in the Context of Document Management and System Integration
  • Further development and maintenance of Java-based components in the areas of document management and system integration
  • Collaborate with internal teams from business units, IT, and external partners to implement integrated solutions that meet customer needs
  • Ensuring continuous operation, including monitoring the input lines and detecting and resolving malfunctions during operation

Your requirements

  • Relevant experience in integrating applications and systems (interfaces, web services, APIs) and, ideally, in the document management field
  • Strong knowledge of Java or a strong interest in furthering your skills in Java development
  • Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Linux Shell; Python is a plus), as well as DevOps principles and agile development methods
  • Initial experience with automating build and deployment processes (e.g., GitLab CI/CD or similar tools) and a basic understanding of cloud computing and containerization are a plus

  • Excellent written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
