About this role

Insurance Advisory & Insurance Investment Solutions is a team of insurance specialists who work with partners across the BlackRock platform to deliver solutions tailored to the needs of insurance clients. The team consists of investment management professionals with diverse backgrounds in asset management, insurance, and consulting.

role responsibility

The key responsibilities of the role are: * Applying technical expertise to analyze short-term asset challenges and identify solution strategies, using in-depth analysis and ALM, strategic asset allocation, and capital management techniques. * Building effective internal relationships with portfolio managers, client relationship managers, and technology teams to establish a solid foundation for business development in the region. * Delivering complex investment advice and solution design. * Monitoring regulatory, accounting, and capital frameworks affecting insurance companies. * Provide technical input to inform the company's strategy for insurance clients and support the development of the BlackRock platform.

Requirements

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with senior stakeholders * Proven ability to identify events that impact BlackRock's reputation * Significant, relevant industry experience in investment banking and stakeholder engagement * Practical experience in the investment and ALM strategies used by insurers to manage assets to meet obligations. * Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary groups to deliver insurance-focused capabilities. * In-depth knowledge of insurance company business models, regulation, and capital requirements, as well as the application of investment solutions for insurance and fund regulation. * Skills appropriate for an investment-related actuarial or technical role in insurance, reinsurance, or banking.
