Internal - Global Markets
The internship position in the Global Markets division in Hong Kong involves supporting trading teams and automating processes. The ideal candidate has an academic background in computer science, finance, or economics and experience programming in Python or R.
Job Description
The main tasks include:- Supporting the Structured Products, Equities trading desks, and Treasury teams in Hong Kong with manual and ad hoc tasks
- Assisting with the implementation of projects related to the Global Markets and Treasury businesses (e.g., the OMS project)
- Assistance with optimizing manual processes and workflows, as well as automating tasks where possible
Requirements
The requirements include:- Degree in computer science, finance, or economics with a strong academic background from top universities
- Programming experience is required (Python and/or R), as well as the ability to work with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
