Internal Auditor
The Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting independent, objective and risk-based audits in the Asia region and supports the Asia Head of Internal Audit in day-to-day activities. The position requires at least 3 years of experience in auditing, preferably in asset management.
Job description: Internal Auditor
Tasks and responsibilities
- Planning and supporting audit engagements, including identifying risks and defining key audit objectives
- Collaborate within the audit team and with audit stakeholders to ensure completion of audit assignments within the planned timeframe
- Risk-focused approach and exercise of a high degree of professional skepticism
- Ensuring that the audit documentation complies with the audit standards and the internal audit methodology
- Independent assessment of the severity of identified problems and associated risks
- Creation and finalization of audit issues, including deep root cause assessment
- Preparation and finalization of audit reports (applicable if the Internal Auditor is the auditor in charge of the audit)
- Responsibility for following up on audit issues and conducting independent reviews to ensure appropriate corrective actions have been implemented by management to mitigate the underlying risks within the agreed timeframe
- Support and contribute to the annual risk assessment and annual audit planning process as required
- Effective and cooperative work in interdisciplinary teams (e.g. integrated audits with IT auditors or data analytics specialists)
Cooperation and leadership
- Guiding audit team members and conducting detailed reviews to ensure high quality audit documentation and well-reasoned audit conclusions (applicable when the Internal Auditor is the designated auditor-in-charge leading the audit)
- Positive development feedback to the team
- Building and maintaining good professional working relationships with key stakeholders
- Coordination of examinations with examinees, including planning, fieldwork, discussion of issues and reporting
Regulatory and risk management responsibilities
- Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Professional and technical requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or accounting
- CA, CPA and/or CIA preferred
- At least 3 years postgraduate experience in auditing, preferably in the asset management industry
- Strong knowledge of local banking and relevant regulatory rules and regulations, particularly in Singapore and Hong Kong
- Proven ability to work effectively with others in a dynamic, fast-paced and geographically dispersed organization
