The Internal Communications Specialist supports communications within Global Products & Solutions (GPS) and across the Bank Julius Baer organization by developing and implementing strategic communications plans to strengthen the internal dialogue culture and foster connection between teams. The focus is on developing and implementing communication strategies, supporting leaders and driving stakeholder engagement.

Internal Communications Specialist 100% (m/f/d)

Tasks

  • 1. development and implementation of strategic internal communication measures
    • Collaborate with GPS leadership, business management and strategy teams to understand changing business needs and create aligned communication plans
    • Development and implementation of multi-channel campaigns to support key initiatives, transformations and organizational updates
    • Customization of messages for different target groups in different regions and functions to ensure relevance, clarity and consistency
    • Representation of GPS perspectives in company-wide communication measures in cooperation with the central Internal Communications team
  • 2. provision of communication support at the highest level
    • Act as a trusted communications partner for GPS co-heads and other senior stakeholders, including drafting speeches, presentations, talking points and leadership updates
    • Advice on tone, style and channel selection to maximize reach and impact
    • Contribute to the management of the Co-Heads' professional presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, including content ideation and editorial monitoring (in line with brand and compliance guidelines)
  • 3. strengthening stakeholder loyalty throughout the company
    • Act as a bridge between GPS and other departments within Bank Julius Baer to promote mutual understanding and integration
    • Facilitate two-way communication through feedback mechanisms, pulse checks and active listening to reflect employee sentiment in communication strategies
    • Ensure GPS voices are represented in cross-functional forums, committees and company-wide initiatives
  • 5. application of target group insights and continuous improvement
    • Use segmentation, behavioral insights and best practices for change communication to increase message effectiveness
    • Monitoring engagement metrics and qualitative feedback to refine approaches and demonstrate impact
    • Update on trends in internal communication, tools and innovations in the area of employee experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communication sciences, public relations, journalism, organizational psychology or a related field (a postgraduate degree is an advantage)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in internal, corporate or organizational communications, ideally in the banking, financial services or consulting sector
  • High level of emotional intelligence, discretion and sensitivity when dealing with controversial topics
