Join us as International Market Lead, Middle East. In this prominent role, you will serve as the representative for the Coutts market in the Middle East and be responsible for its growth, performance, and strategic presence. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the private banking and wealth management industry for international clients in the region.

Tasks

As International Market Lead for the Coutts market in the Middle East, you will be responsible for implementing the regional market strategy and overseeing overall performance. This includes: * Leading the market and implementing the regional market strategy * Serving as a senior commercial ambassador in the region, including establishing and expanding relationships with Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and High Net Worth (HNW) clients * Leading staff, aligning with regional expectations and regulatory requirements, and ensuring a strong market position through extensive travel and engagement with senior leadership * Developing growth plans and maintaining relationships with corporate networks * Maximizing international connections and cross-border referrals Additional responsibilities include: *
  • Building a market presence and credibility through travel, networking with seniors, and active participation in regional business communities, forums, and events
  • Leading the Middle East market to deliver high-quality customer outcomes and achieve financial, customer-related, risk, and human resources goals
  • Improving financial performance through revenue growth, profit margins, customer acquisition, and cross-management
  • Shaping and further developing the Middle East client proposition to provide culturally tailored, competitive, and relevant solutions for complex, globally connected UHNW and HNW clients
  • Building and leading a high-performing team, developing employees, supporting succession planning, and implementing regular performance, development, and feedback cycles
  • Developing a robust risk management framework that addresses cross-border activities, complex customer structures, and financial crime risks, in collaboration with risk and control functions, to manage and mitigate market risks
  • Collaborating with internal markets, functions, and international teams to drive market growth and ensure that the Middle East market is fully integrated into the broader international and banking strategy

Requirements

We are looking for someone with extensive experience leading international private banks or wealth management firms, with a proven ability to build and scale a market or brand from the ground up. You should also have a proven track record of leading market entries or early-stage growth phases, including strategy execution, team building, and establishing sustainable commercial and operational models. Additional requirements include: *
  • Extensive, hands-on experience in managing relationships with UHNW and HNW clients from the Middle East, with strong business development skills and a consistent track record of success in acquiring new clients
  • A strong understanding of history
