International Payroll Specialist
EFG International is seeking an International Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for managing payroll in international branches and ensuring compliance with all local and international regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in international payroll management and strong knowledge of taxation, social security, and labor law.
Job Description
The position of International Payroll Specialist is an important part of a developing global payroll structure. The role ensures accurate payroll processing, full compliance with local and international regulations, and effective collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure efficient and compliant payroll processing.Main tasks
- Managing the global payroll process from Switzerland for selected international locations to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
- Support and assistance with payroll activities for employees based in Switzerland.
- Coordinate with local payroll providers to ensure compliance with tax, social security, and labor laws in each jurisdiction.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to align processes, ensure accurate interfaces, and resolve issues.
- First point of contact for employee inquiries regarding salary, providing timely and accurate support and ensuring high data quality across all locations.
- Preparation and review of payroll reports (salaries, contributions, tax obligations) and support for internal and external audits with the necessary documents.
- Initiation of measures to review, simplify, and centralize HR/payroll processes worldwide, regular review of payroll expenses to ensure quality and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll administration in multiple countries, ideally in an international or financial services company.
- Strong knowledge of international payroll processes and compliance requirements (tax, social security, labor law) in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience with payroll platforms and HR systems, with a strong focus on data quality and process reliability.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and highly reliable, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic and demanding environment.
- Feel comfortable in a regulated and international environment with high standards of integrity and discretion when processing confidential data.
- International mindset and experience in multicultural environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proactive and positive attitude, energy, and intellectual curiosity.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of national languages, especially French and Italian, is a strong advantage.
