International Private Bank, FX DAC, Associate

This job posting is for an Associate position on the FX DAC team at JPMorgan Chase’s International Private Bank in Geneva, Switzerland. The successful candidate will be part of a global team and will work directly with clients to sell and manage FX and precious metals products.

Job description

You will be a key member of our market-leading FX DAC team in Geneva (and part of a global team with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom), providing direct client support for FX and PM, including advisory services, portfolio risk management, pricing, and execution of spot, forward, and OTC derivatives. You will be part of an integrated coverage team focused primarily on UHNW clients (both existing and prospective), with this role placing a specific emphasis on delivering FX and precious metals products (both cash and derivatives) across the entire client portfolio. The broad coverage team is responsible for managing portfolios (both discretionary and non-discretionary) of private banking clients across a range of products (equities, bonds, foreign exchange, OTC derivatives, structured products, alternative investments, and private equity).

Tasks

- Work closely with the broader coverage team to ensure that FX activities align with clients’ investment plans and objectives. - Work closely with current DAC team members to support, develop, and grow FX activities with existing clients, as well as with key partners to identify potential new clients who may be suitable for the DAC offering. - Engage with clients daily (by phone or in person) to discuss markets and propose solutions. - Quantitative analysis of markets and trading ideas. - Developing and presenting ideas that could be suitable for the franchise, as well as promoting the DAC offering internally. - Building relationships with key partners in private banking in Asia, EMEA, and the U.S. - Developing connections with sales, trading, and research partners within JP Morgan CIB.

Requirements

- Experience in FX and PM markets (either client advisory, trading, or structuring) is preferred. - There is a clear need for quantitative and technical skills for this position, including a working knowledge of FX options, particularly from a risk management perspective. - Understanding of market risks from a pricing and execution perspective. Efficiency and accuracy in pricing various trading strategies. - Familiarity with electronic trading systems preferred. - Demonstrated strong interest and passion for financial markets, international affairs, and geopolitical events. - Superior analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, practical terms.

- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus. - A driven and ambitious personality with a proven track record of success in working with a wide range of clients. - A communication style that fosters credibility and trust with clients; strong presentation skills. - Ability to thrive in an internal culture focused on innovation, customer service, internal collaboration, and entrepreneurship. - A team player who can collaborate effectively with a wide range of business partners. - Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines, as well as relevant local regulatory qualifications and licenses.
