JPMorganChase is seeking an Associate for the FX DAC team in Geneva, Switzerland, who will work directly with clients and monitor FX and precious metals activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in the foreign exchange and precious metals markets, as well as quantitative and technical skills.
Job Information
The position is based in Geneva as an Associate in the FX DAC team and is part of a global team with locations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The position involves providing direct support to clients for FX and PM, including consulting, portfolio risk management, pricing, and execution of spot, forward, and OTC derivatives.Tasks
The tasks include:- Work closely with the broader coverage team to ensure that FX activities are consistent with clients' investment plans and objectives.
- Work closely with current DAC team members to support, develop, and increase FX activities with existing clients, as well as collaborate with key partners to identify potential new clients who may be suitable for the DAC offering.
- Daily customer interaction (by phone or in person) to discuss markets and offer solutions.
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of markets and trades.
- Developing and presenting ideas that could be suitable across the franchise, as well as promoting the DAC offering internally.
- Building relationships with key partners in private banking in AM, EMEA, and the US.
- Developing relationships with sales, trading, and research partners within JP Morgan CIB.
Requirements
The requirements include:- Experience with FX and PM markets (either through advising clients, trading, or structuring) is preferred.
- There is a clear need for quantitative and technical skills for this position, including a working knowledge of FX options, particularly from a risk management perspective.
- Understanding market risks from a pricing and execution perspective. Efficiency and accuracy in pricing various trading strategies.
- Familiarity with electronic trading systems is preferred.
- A strong interest and passion for financial markets, international affairs, and geopolitical events.
- Superior analytical and marketing skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, practical forms.
