International Private Bank, Vice President, Private Banker

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President, Private Banker, for its international private bank in Geneva, Switzerland, to acquire new clients and manage existing client relationships. The Private Banker should possess a broad knowledge of investments, banking services, trust services, and financial planning in order to provide a first-class experience for clients.

Job Summary

As a private banker at J.P. Morgan in Geneva, you would manage new client acquisitions and relationships by leveraging your extensive knowledge of investments, banking, trust services, and financial planning. You would also be responsible for the client experience and would utilize our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks include:
  • Achieving business results and acquiring new assets in Switzerland
  • Advising clients on their overall financial assets, including asset allocation, investment management, financial planning, and credit and banking services
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to customers when necessary
  • Understanding clients’ goals and objectives in order to develop and implement an investment plan for their entire portfolio
  • Ensuring that the proposed solutions meet the clients' needs and objectives in the short, medium, and long term
  • Strict compliance with all risk and control guidelines, regulatory guidelines, and security measures
  • Collaborate with other customer advisors in the team to maximize team strength and achieve team goals

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

The requirements include:
  • Extensive experience in private banking with ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth individuals in Switzerland and the surrounding regions
  • Previous experience in business development, including knowledge of customer profiling, onboarding, negotiation, and proactively seeking referrals
  • Dynamic and credible professional with clear communication and exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to business management
  • Experience or proven understanding of investments, banking, and fiduciary concepts
  • Strong reputation with an established network
  • Fluency in French and English or German is a plus

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience with asset allocation or the distribution of assets
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is an advantage
