International Private Bank, Vice President, Private Banker

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to serve as a Private Banker for its international private bank in Geneva, Switzerland, to acquire new clients and manage existing client relationships. The Private Banker will provide comprehensive advice on investments, banking, trust services, and financial planning, and deliver a first-class client experience.

Job Summary

As a private banker at J.P. Morgan in Geneva, you would lead client acquisition and retention efforts by leveraging your extensive knowledge of investments, banking, trust services, and financial planning. You would also be responsible for the client experience and would utilize our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks include:
  • Achieving business results and acquiring new assets in Switzerland.
  • Advising clients on their overall financial situation, including asset allocation, investment management, financial planning, and credit and banking services.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to clients as needed.
  • Understanding clients' goals and objectives in order to develop and implement an investment plan for their overall financial situation.
  • Ensuring that the proposed solutions meet the clients' needs and objectives in the short, medium, and long term.
  • Strict compliance with all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.
  • Collaborate with other client advisors on the team to maximize the team’s strength and achieve the team’s goals.

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • Extensive experience in private banking with ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth individuals in Switzerland and the surrounding regions.
  • Previous experience in business development, with knowledge of customer profiling, regulatory matters, negotiation, and proactively seeking recommendations.
  • A dynamic and credible professional with clear communication skills and exceptional presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to management.
  • Experience or a demonstrated understanding of investments, banking, and fiduciary concepts.
  • A strong reputation with an established network.
  • Fluency in French and English; knowledge of Italian or German is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

The preferred qualifications include:
  • Asset allocation / Experience with multi-asset-class portfolios or sales experience.
  • Certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a corporate culture that values innovation, customer service, internal collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
