International Private Bank, Vice President, Private Banker

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President Private Banker for its Geneva office to advise high-net-worth clients on investment strategies and financial solutions. The position involves acquiring new clients, managing existing clients, and collaborating with internal specialists to optimize wealth management.

Job Summary

  • As a private banker at J.P. Morgan in Geneva, you will help our clients understand and take advantage of a wide range of investment strategies, banking, and financial solutions.
  • Your efforts will enable us to attract new clients by:
    • Demonstrating expert knowledge and creativity in assessing and achieving clients' objectives
    • Understanding and working with new and existing clients to advise them on how to optimize their goals

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate business results and attract new asset flows (new business)
  • Advise clients on their investment needs, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, and lending activities
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary responses to clients when needed
  • Collaborate on the development of wealth management products; identify, anticipate, and develop new banking opportunities; and drive opportunities with clients in the areas of estate planning, investment management, problem resolution, and client retention, as well as wealth planning and lending services
  • Partner with global affiliates whose clients have short-, medium-, and long-term needs or aspirations through a holistic, goals-based planning model
  • Review and offer our fixed-price and unit-price products—both proprietary and nonproprietary—using a client-centric approach

Qualified Requirements, Qualifications, and Skills

  • Significant experience in private banking working with privately held, non-institutional assets (across various sectors and regions), either involved for the first time since the implementation of regulations such as the HMOA or in an international setting, within an environment conducive to global business development
  • Strong market experience and the ability to communicate clearly and articulate complex issues clearly
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, and a focus on both on-site and face-to-face success
  • Experience in demonstrating an understanding of commissions—including their past and potential future effects—as well as asset allocation across asset classes, leverage, liabilities, etc., overall investment returns, customer needs, risk management, and product marketing can help create a better environment and opportunities.
