International Private Bank, Vice President, Private Banker, Swiss Onshore

JPMorganChase is seeking a Vice President as a Private Banker for its Swiss branch in Geneva to serve high net worth clients and acquire new clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in private banking, excellent communication skills, and a strong network.

Job Summary

As a Client Advisor at J.P. Morgan in Geneva, you would lead new client acquisition and retention through comprehensive knowledge of investments, banking, fiduciary services, and financial planning. You would also be responsible for the client experience and would leverage our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks include:
  • Achieving business results and acquiring new assets
  • Advising clients on their overall financial situation, including asset allocation, investment management, financial planning, credit, and banking services
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to customers when necessary
  • Understanding the goals and objectives of clients and developing and implementing an investment plan for their overall financial situation
  • Ensuring that proposed solutions meet customer needs and objectives in the short, medium, and long term through a holistic, goal-oriented planning approach
  • Strict compliance with all risk and control guidelines, regulatory guidelines, and security measures
  • Collaborate with other client advisors in the team to maximize team strength and achieve team goals

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

The requirements include:
  • Significant experience in private banking with high net worth individuals in Geneva and surrounding regions
  • Previous experience in business development with knowledge of profiling, negotiation, and proactively soliciting referrals
  • Dynamic and credible professional with clear communication and exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of investments, banking, and fiduciary concepts, including but not limited to: asset allocation or structured products, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and credit solutions, basic fiduciary and estate products, and identification of wealth planning opportunities.
  • Strong reputation with an established network
  • Fluent English and German

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Preferred requirements include:
  • Asset allocation / Experience with multi-asset class portfolios or sales experience is advantageous
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in an internal culture that values innovation, customer service, internal partnership, and entrepreneurship
  • Fluent French and/or Italian
