International Private Bank, Vice President, Private Banker, Central and Eastern Europe

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President, Private Banker for the Central and Eastern Europe market in Zurich to acquire new clients and manage existing client relationships. The ideal candidate has experience in private banking, particularly with Russian-speaking and Eastern European clients, and possesses strong communication and sales skills.

Job Summary

As a banker in J.P. Morgan’s Private Banking division, you will drive new client acquisition and retention through your comprehensive knowledge of investments, banking, trust services, and financial planning. This role is also responsible for the client experience and leverages our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution.

Job Responsibilities

- Prospect and acquire new clients from Eastern European regions as well as Russian-speaking clients. - Maintain and further develop an existing client portfolio of ultra-high-net-worth clients from Eastern European and Russian-speaking regions. - Responsible for the sale and implementation of investment, banking, and trust/estate planning products for key clients. - Leverage and coordinate specialists (investment, capital advisors, trust and estate advisors, and wealth management advisors) to provide interdisciplinary expertise for our most complex clients. - Manage each account to ensure the client has a complete profile and that accounts are properly maintained and managed, particularly in accordance with J.P. Morgan’s risk management guidelines. - Build trust with clients and effectively manage relationships. - Ensure that the proposed products and services maximize the client’s needs, goals, and objectives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

- Extensive experience in private banking with Russian-speaking and Eastern European UHNW individuals and families. - Previous experience in business development. - Performance-driven, focused on achieving business goals with a keen eye for detail. - Proven sales success, including: prospecting, profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team sales approach, closing the sale, and requesting referrals. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong relationship management and team-building skills; views teamwork as critical. - Experience or demonstrated understanding of investment, banking, and fiduciary concepts, including but not limited to: asset allocation across structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and credit solutions, basic fiduciary and estate products, and identification of wealth planning opportunities. - Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment, including regulatory and technological changes. - Fluent in Russian and ideally in another Eastern European language.
