Investment Advisor

As an Investment Advisor at Bank Syz in Geneva, you will support clients in developing individual investment strategies and advise relationship managers on client acquisition and development. You will play an important role in designing investment solutions tailored to clients' goals.

Job description

Tasks

  • Structured Product activity:
    • Supporting the Structured Products team by providing accurate and timely pricing information to the front office
    • Participation in the management of the entire product life cycle, including daily monitoring, repayment notifications, secondary market opportunities, and sales or exchange proposals
    • Contribution to the development and promotion of the structured product range through idea generation, market information, and collaboration with research teams
    • Ensuring smooth execution of all phases of the process—from pricing and RFQs to post-trading activities (term sheet validation, booking, instrument configuration), invoicing, and FSL reconciliation
    • Promotion of structured products as an asset class internally through training of relationship managers and support in the use of pricing tools
    • Establishing and maintaining close relationships with counterparties, monitoring onboarding processes including KTC and contractual documentation
  • Investment Advisory:
    • Personal investment advice within the client risk profile framework, whether for tactical asset allocation or a bottom-up approach
    • Partner with the regional manager in pursuing advisory ideas and their penetration into client portfolios, gathering the needs of bankers, and developing proposals to meet the needs of relationship managers and clients.
    • Contribution to the generation of investment ideas using various in-house specialists in all asset classes: equities, fixed income securities, foreign exchange/metals, derivatives, private markets, etc.
    • Contribute to the feedback loop with our research team to obtain investment ideas that meet client needs
    • Ability to represent the firm's views and develop investment solutions tailored to solving complex investment challenges for relationship managers

Requirements

Education

  • Master's degree in finance or equivalent

Professional experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role with very good knowledge of structured products
