Investment Advisor, Latin America, based in Zurich, Full-time (f/m/d)

Julius Baer is seeking an Investment Advisor for the Latin American market, based in Zurich and working full-time. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and develop customized investment strategies to meet their financial goals and risk tolerance.

The specific tasks are:
  • Preparation of customized investment proposals and portfolio analyses
  • Conducting in-depth portfolio reviews and preparing analytical reports
  • Research, development, and evaluation of innovative investment solutions and portfolio construction methods
  • Contribution to idea generation, thematic research, and regional investment recommendations
  • Serving as a trusted investment advisor for clients
  • Development and delivery of high-quality, insight-driven presentations
  • Collaborating with relationship managers to develop customized investment strategies
  • Assuming responsibility for the end-to-end processing of trading transactions
  • Provision of high-quality operational and administrative support
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, investment portfolios, and transaction histories
  • Regular updates on global market trends, investment themes, product innovations, and relevant regulatory changes

Requirements

The requirements are:
  • A degree in banking, finance, business administration, economics, or a related field
  • CFA charter (or equivalent) or registration for one of the CFA exams is preferred
  • CMIA mount preferred
  • Excellent professional proficiency in English, as well as Spanish and/or Portuguese (fluent to native-level)
  • 3–10 years of relevant professional experience in investment advisory, private banking, or a similar financial services sector
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, self-motivated, and able to act independently
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to efficiently interpret complex financial information
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality services
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and able to handle pressure; capable of meeting tight deadlines without compromising accuracy
