Investment Banking, M&A Vice President
Alantra is seeking a Vice President (VP) for its investment banking team in Stockholm, Sweden, who has experience in M&A and corporate finance and is capable of taking on leadership responsibilities. The VP will be responsible for leading origination activities, executing M&A transactions, and managing teams.
Tasks
The main tasks include:- Taking a leading role in initiating activities with private equity clients and companies
- Support for origination, commercial, and marketing efforts, including the comprehensive preparation of presentations, such as the development of investment cases, valuations, buyer identification, process design, etc.
- Overseeing the day-to-day execution of M&A and/or financing transactions
- Coordination of due diligence processes (financial, legal, tax, commercial, etc.)
- Management of data rooms, Q&A processes, and interaction with advisors
- Preparation and review of key transaction documents (information memoranda, teasers, management presentations, process letters, etc.)
- Monitoring of financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction structuring
- Supporting negotiation phases alongside senior team members
- Ensuring that deadlines are met and key project workflows are proactively managed
Additional responsibilities
Other responsibilities include:- Supervising and mentoring associates and analysts
- Ensuring high standards of analytical rigor and presentation quality
- Efficient task allocation and team workload management
Requirements
The requirements include:- 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in M&A, corporate finance advisory, investment banking, or related fields
- Experience in international deal environments
- Ideally (but not necessarily) a background in technology, software, or IT services transactions, which are an increasingly important area of focus for the team
- A profile equivalent to the Senior Associate or Vice President level, to ensure sufficient experience to lead junior team members
Required skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:- Ability to independently manage and execute transaction processes
- Experience from leading consulting firms or investment banks
- The confidence to act as a challenging and value-adding advisor to clients and colleagues
- A personality suited to an international organization, combined with a collaborative Swedish business culture
- Native language: Swedish
