Job Summary

Man's Portfolio Risk team is responsible for implementing and monitoring regulatory and contractual investment restrictions across the portfolio. The role is part of the Risk team and focuses on implementing and monitoring investment restrictions.

Responsibilities

* Analyzing and reviewing compliance alerts to ensure consistency with investment mandates, and collaborating with traders and portfolio managers to resolve exceptions * Developing and maintaining compliance alerts, collaborating with Technology and the Front Office to ensure a robust pre-trade risk framework * Reviewing investment restrictions for new mandates prior to implementation * Investment policies and investment mandates are risk-tested as needed * Design, implement, and maintain the central violation log * Work closely with Product Legal and Structuring teams to specify prospectus or other document changes as needed * Collaborate with Technology to specify system enhancements required to implement new monitoring and analysis related to changing requirements

Key Competencies

* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a field with an analytical component * Preferably 2–5 years of experience in a similar role at another asset manager * Ability to think creatively and outside the box * Knowledge of investment strategies applied to a portfolio’s investments and derivatives * Experience reviewing investment policies, offering memorandums, and investment management agreements * Experience monitoring portfolio investment requirements related to UOTs, SIPP funds, and U.S. mutual funds * Excellent, detailed, and effective research and analytical skills * Ability to work in a trading desk environment * Moderate programming skills, preferably Excel/VBA, SQL, Python

What We Offer

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $200,000 USD. The compensation package also includes benefits and a discretionary bonus.
