Investment Content Production & Distribution – Application Responsible Deputy 100% (f/m/d)
The job posting describes a full-time position as "Application Responsible Deputy" at Julius Baer in Madrid, where the applicant will be responsible for the production and distribution of investment content and will need experience in DevOps, IT service management, and agile environments. The ideal candidate should be technically savvy, have good communication skills, and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Tasks
- Are technically proficient and familiar with the latest DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and the concept of containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes and how services are executed)
- Are familiar with application monitoring tools such as ELK, Splunk, Dynatrace, and can use this knowledge to quickly identify and resolve production issues—either independently or by supporting the team.
- Understand standard IT governance processes and take responsibility for the team's applications
- Proactively plan, coordinate, and execute measures to address risks, security issues, vulnerabilities, upgrades, and other necessary improvements
- Understand and be able to demonstrate IT service management principles, preferably based on ITIL 4, in agile and DevOps contexts.
- Support the team by coordinating with Release Management to create RFCs with properly documented dependencies, deployment windows, and rollback procedures.
- Have experience in DevOps teams in agile environments (SAFe) with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MIRO, etc.
- Ensure that the minimum requirements for the team's applications are met, while keeping the relevant documentation artifacts (solution design, security concept, service continuity (BCM), operating instructions) up to date.
- Ensure that non-functional requirements are tailored, defined, and validated (e.g., performance, capacity, availability, and disaster recovery)
- Play an important role in advising the team in release go/no-go situations, monitor the burn-in phase, and ensure stability before full handover to business-as-usual operations (DevOps).
Requirements
- Strong communication, cooperation, and networking skills—a natural talent for bringing people and things together, explaining complex contexts in a simple way, and coordinating multiple teams of experts (e.g., database, network, firewall, etc.) until the problem is solved (goal achieved).
- Are highly structured and organized and have strong planning skills
- Are a strong and committed team player, motivated and willing to learn
- 5+ years of practical professional experience in a similar role and setting
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines (continuous integration/continuous delivery), including pipeline design, security scanning integration, and controlled deployment workflows
