Job Description
As a member of the local Investment Advisory team, you will be responsible for advising clients and prospective clients on investment solutions, with the primary goal of collaborating with Private Banking Client Relationship Officers (CROs) to offer appropriate investment solutions—both discretionary and advisory—and to foster client relationships and profitability.Main tasks
- You will work directly with clients and partners alongside client relationship officers; you will be responsible for assessing investment needs based on the client’s risk profile; you will develop a comprehensive investment strategy; you will coordinate sales and execution in line with this strategy; and you will monitor the performance and appropriateness of the client’s entire investment portfolio.
- Create customized investment proposals across various markets using appropriate products and services, and tailor portfolios to the client’s risk tolerance, needs, and market conditions.
- Monitor and analyze the financial markets to oversee and develop clients' investment strategies.
- Be proactive and maintain regular contact with customers and client relationship officers to keep them informed about the markets and the portfolio’s performance, as well as the bank’s investment ideas and opportunities.
- Provide input and support for the development of new business initiatives and product improvements.
- Promote discretionary mandates to increase market penetration.
- Help increase the share of revenue generated by customers.
- Comply with all internal and external regulations and procedures.
Requirements
- A university degree in economics or finance, or comparable qualifications (CFA, AZEK, etc.).
- Client-focused experience in investment advisory and sales, as well as portfolio management.
- Extensive knowledge of private banking (onshore and offshore) and the competitive and regulatory environment.
- A passion for financial markets.
- A strong understanding of financial instruments across all asset classes, as well as ESG and alternative investments, is a plus.
- Able to build close and trusting relationships with CROs and clients.
- Ability to build networks with internal stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic; French would be a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
- Results-oriented with the ability to solve problems proactively and independently.
- Sound judgment, a keen sense of urgency, and a high degree of professional and personal integrity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg.
