Investment & Data Operations Analyst
The Investment & Data Operations Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management of AHL's front office investment operations and is expected to develop and implement the business logic for risk. The Analyst will work on ensuring data integrity, managing trading systems and models, and coordinating projects across various stakeholders.

About the role
Members of the Investment and Data Operations (IDO) team are responsible for the day-to-day management of AHL's front office investment operations, developing and implementing the business logic for risk. They ensure that the trading systems and models are delivered. They ensure data integrity, ensure new business initiatives, research ideas and manage risk parameters and coordinate projects across a range of stakeholders.
Main tasks:
- Maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of AHL systems, trading systems and models (with Python and other tools)
- Collaborate with colleagues and technology teams on projects to improve and contribute to operational efficiency
- Leverage technologies such as Git, Python and SQL to improve, automate and streamline core processes
- Design and support the architecture of the AHL trading environment, including data aggregation, positioning and risk management
- Managing data from order management systems to AHL's systematic trading algorithms and quantitative research teams
- Managing data feeds and ensuring that the information captured is amended in AHL systems and databases
Requirements:
Required:
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong judgment under pressure and intellectual honesty
- Powerful and effective communication method
- Interest in financial markets
- Basic knowledge of Python or similar programming languages for data manipulation and analysis
Preferred:
- 1+ year of relevant work experience in an operations role in investment management/hedge funds or similar area
- Experience in the implementation of or significant contribution to complex projects
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond positively to short-term challenges
- Experience in processing/validating AHL's traded financial assets, including futures, FX, equities, options and bonds
- Experience in developing Python scripts and SOL queries for data processing, analysis and automation
- Working knowledge of the AHL business and technology
