Investment Manager - Multi Asset
The position of Investment Manager - Multi Asset at Vontobel in Zurich involves supporting the Asset Allocation team in modeling asset allocations, managing model portfolios and analyzing performance and risk. The ideal candidate will have quantitative analysis and programming skills in Python and R as well as portfolio management experience.
Job description
Tasks
- Supporting the team mission in delivering innovative and effective asset allocation solutions for private and institutional clients
- Assisted in the implementation of portfolio optimization tools in Python and R, including the proprietary iPortfolio platform
- Day-to-day management of multi-asset model portfolios, focusing on data analytics, performance analysis and risk attribution
- Carrying out backtesting, performance analyses and preparing investment proposals for individual mandates and funds
- Support fund management activities and collaborate with other internal teams on investment solutions
- Assistance in the selection and analysis of financial instruments across various asset classes
- Collaborate with senior team members to deliver operational excellence and support strategies
- Assisting the team leader with analytical queries, reporting and operational tasks
- Regular presentation of portfolio results and findings for internal target groups
- Responsibility for updating and improving PowerPoint presentations
Requirements
- University degree in mathematics, finance, economics, engineering or related disciplines
- 1-5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, portfolio management or related roles
- Python and R skills at architectural/advanced level required; other programming languages are an advantage
- Solid understanding of asset allocation, performance attribution and risk analysis
- Experience with Avaloq, Bloomberg and Charles River Investment Management software is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to flawless, high quality work
- Ability to work hard, manage multiple tasks and deliver results under pressure
