Investment / Portfolio Management Analyst
Mar Group is seeking an Investment/Portfolio Management Analyst in London to assist with identifying investment opportunities, financial modeling, and monitoring existing investments. The role begins with a six-week training program and requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in finance.
Responsibilities
- Identify and source investment opportunities across public, private equity, and debt markets
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential investments
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee
- Monitor and manage existing investments on an ongoing basis
- Support the development of new investment strategies and products
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Stay up to date with market developments and regulatory changes
- Conduct monthly modeling, analyze events related to new convertible investments, and assist in the monitoring and day-to-day management of existing investments and systems
- Update convertible models to reflect current market conditions and issuer-specific events
- Assist in the timely completion of new convertible investments
- Conduct ongoing financial analysis and monitoring of existing investments
- Prepare investment reports and presentations for the investment committee
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or related industries
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and other relevant software
- CFA charter is preferred but not required
- Strong background in finance and accounting
