Investment / Portfolio Management Analyst

Mar Group is seeking an Investment/Portfolio Management Analyst in London to assist with identifying investment opportunities, financial modeling, and monitoring existing investments. The role begins with a six-week training program and requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in finance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source investment opportunities across public, private equity, and debt markets
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential investments
  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee
  • Monitor and manage existing investments on an ongoing basis
  • Support the development of new investment strategies and products
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • Stay up to date with market developments and regulatory changes
  • Conduct monthly modeling, analyze events related to new convertible investments, and assist in the monitoring and day-to-day management of existing investments and systems
  • Update convertible models to reflect current market conditions and issuer-specific events
  • Assist in the timely completion of new convertible investments
  • Conduct ongoing financial analysis and monitoring of existing investments
  • Prepare investment reports and presentations for the investment committee

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or related industries
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and other relevant software
  • CFA charter is preferred but not required
  • Strong background in finance and accounting
  • Excellent financial modeling skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Experience in investment banking or private equity is preferred but not required
