Investment Products Specialist

The Investment Products Specialist at ItaU in Florida (hybrid) is responsible for the development and lifecycle management of investment solutions for high-net-worth and institutional clients. The position requires at least five years of experience in the financial services sector, as well as fluency in English and Portuguese.

Tasks

  • Product Development and Support:
    • Leading the evaluation, design, implementation, and improvement of investment and balance sheet products, including mutual funds, structured products, certificates of deposit (CDs), time deposits, money market solutions, wrapping products, and customized client solutions.
    • Developing in-depth expertise across the entire product lifecycle, including customer experience, trading and execution workflows, custody, settlement, operational processes, restrictions, controls, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer outcomes.
    • Support cross-product initiatives and platform enhancements by translating business needs into robust solutions, defining target operational models, coordinating stakeholders across the legal, compliance, operations, technology, risk, treasury, and front office teams, and ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Closer collaboration with legal, compliance, risk, operations, and finance teams to support product delivery.
    • Collaborate with relationship managers and client advisors to gather feedback and refine our offerings.
    • Representing the investment products function on committees and at strategic planning meetings.
  • Compliance, Documentation, and Risk Management:
    • Ensuring compliance with BSNAML, AML, and Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
    • Maintaining accurate documentation and providing support for audits and compliance reviews.
    • Serves as the first line of defense in risk management to ensure operational and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; an MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • More than 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a role in product development or strategy/project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital markets, investment vehicles, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Superior interpersonal and influence management skills.
  • Superior analytical and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; Spanish is a plus.
  • Compliance with the principles, laws, rules, and regulations related to anti-money laundering and the Bank Secrecy Act, as well as the associated guidelines and procedures.
