Investment Risk Analyst

The role

This role is at the heart of Abler Investment Operations, bridging strategy and execution. It helps bring new products to market by ensuring that the necessary documentation, regulatory requirements, and systems are in place to facilitate distribution. The role involves working on product development initiatives across multiple asset classes and geographic regions.

Responsibilities

• Product Development: Supporting new product launches from start to finish; reviewing investment documentation; ensuring regulatory compliance; coordinating with risk teams, legal departments, and fund operators; and managing the regulatory reporting process with the Swiss FINMA and other relevant regulatory authorities.
• Investment Management: Managing day-to-day operations and portfolio transactions, placing ETF and bond orders, and performing all related trade-recording activities; participating in the Investment Committee, making decisions regarding investment strategies, and assisting the Chief Investment Officer.
• Operational priority: Supporting portfolio managers and sales partners, from due diligence during the onboarding phase through to ongoing performance and compliance monitoring.

Requirements

• A proven track record in a role related to investment risk, investment compliance, or governance (e.g., risk officer, compliance, risk, asset manager, MCO, regulatory authority, or insurance experience).
• Strong analytical skills in the areas of portfolio risk, performance measurement, and interpretation.
• A deep understanding of the entire investment lifecycle and a strong appreciation of investment and operational risks.
• Understanding of the asset management environment and the role of each stakeholder.
• The ability to design, implement, and scale monitoring processes, operating models, and controls across asset classes and jurisdictions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to document decisions, follow-ups, and audit-ready evidence.
