Investment Risk Manager - Multi Asset

The role:

We are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated risk manager to join a dynamic investment risk management team focused on delivering high-quality risk. This individual will help challenge risks and opportunities across all investment engine businesses within Man Group, including discretionary and systematic strategies, in both public and private markets.

Your tasks:

• Monitor and manage risks across the entire business, including limit checks
• Work closely with investment teams to ensure that risks are managed appropriately
• Collaborate with all areas of the business to resolve risk issues as they arise
• Forward relevant information to management in a timely, clear, and concise manner to ensure transparency of all risks.
• Closely monitor market events and proactively share risk analyses with the team, management, and P&Os.
• Further development of the Man risk management process and promotion of awareness and good risk management practices across all functions
• Conducting research into new risk measurement and risk management techniques
• Support with regulatory, customer, and marketing inquiries and other tasks as required by the wider Man Group from time to time

Your requirements:

• 5+ years of proven market risk experience at a leading investment bank or investment manager
• Knowledge of and interest in the main asset classes and portfolio risk management techniques
• Detailed understanding of VaR modeling and stress testing
• Strong communication skills, with a solution-oriented and pragmatic approach
• Strong financial, analytical, and quantitative skills
• Python or similar programming skills
• Academic degree
