The Investment Specialists are responsible for providing expert advice, support, and guidance on the best investment products for clients and internal stakeholders. As product experts, they create recommendation lists and market alternative investments.

Investment Specialist - Funds

The Investment Specialist - Funds is a member of the Funds Specialists team and is responsible for meeting the team's financial objectives. He/she is responsible for ensuring active risk management and meeting all regulatory and internal compliance requirements.

Tasks in detail

The Investment Specialist - Funds works closely with Relationship Managers (RMs), Investment Advisors (IAs), and other teams to:

• to provide up-to-date investment advice
• to offer comprehensive solutions and a wide range of products from Julius Baer's investment universe
• Identify and generate thematic investment ideas
• Provide regular updates and active lifecycle management
• participate in customer events, internal meetings, and internal sales initiatives

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

People Management

• contribute to strengthening team spirit and promoting a cooperative working environment
• Motivate other team members and provide guidance/feedback to improve overall performance.

Client Management (internal & external)

• communicate current beliefs about fund products to the front line
• Understanding asset allocation and recommending suitable funds for clients with different risk profiles
• Offer investment advice on fund products to RM, IA, and customers
• Create and maintain customized investment proposals for RM, IA, and customers
• Informing and educating RM, IA, and customers about fund products

Investment Specialist - Funds

• Give presentations on fund launches or updates (in English and business Mandarin)
• Hold regular morning meetings for RM/IA staff in Hong Kong and Singapore (in English)

Business Management

• meet the team's financial goals
• Regular review of functions to maintain efficiency and productivity at optimal levels

Compliance & Risk Management

• comply with all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements
• comply with all relevant local user manuals
• Regular evaluation of functions to minimize risks

Investment Specialist - Funds

• Strong understanding and broad knowledge of investment funds, ETFs, alternative investments, and financial markets
• Experience in alternative investments, particularly in private markets, would be an advantage.
