The Investment Specialists are responsible for providing expert advice, support, and guidance on the best investment products for clients and internal stakeholders. As product experts, they compile recommendation lists, market alternative investments, and identify thematic investment ideas.

Investment Specialist - Funds

The Investment Specialist - Funds is a member of the Funds Specialists team and is responsible for achieving the team’s financial goals. He or she is responsible for ensuring active risk management and meeting all regulatory and internal compliance requirements.

Tasks and responsibilities

The Investment Specialist - Funds works closely with relationship managers, investment advisors, and other teams to provide clients with up-to-date investment advice. He/she is expected to: * Offer comprehensive solutions and a wide range of products from Julius Baer’s investment universe * Provide regular updates and active lifecycle management for recommendations * Participate in client events, internal meetings, and internal sales initiatives * Build effective relationships within the bank to enhance knowledge of the business and its products

Client Management (internal & external)

* Promote compelling fund ideas to the front line * Understand asset allocation and recommend suitable funds for clients with different risk profiles * Provide advice on fund products within a portfolio context * Create and maintain customized investment proposals * Educate and inform clients about funds, ETFs, alternative investments, and other solutions

Investment Specialist - Funds

* Deliver presentations for fund launches or updates (in English and Business Mandarin) * Give regular presentations during morning meetings for relationship managers and investment advisors (in English)

Business Management

* Meet the team's financial goals * Regularly review processes to optimize efficiency and productivity

Compliance & Risk Management

* Comply with all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards * Follow local user manuals * Conduct regular risk assessments to minimize risks

Your profiles

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION

* Excellent communication and presentation skills * Strong analytical skills with good judgment and the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks * Customer- and service-oriented * A good team player, open and approachable * Strong understanding and broad knowledge of funds, ETFs, alternative investments, and financial markets * Experience in alternative investments, particularly in private markets, is a plus * Proficiency in financial analysis and advisory services * Familiarity with regulatory expectations and requirements * MAS-licensed representatives * CA(S) Papers 1 and 2, RES-12B, CM-EIP, and CM-SIP or CM-CMP
