Investment Support Specialist
The Investment Support Specialist at Julius Baer in Singapore supports the investment campaigns and communications team in analyzing client flows, managing client relationships, and handling regulatory and compliance tasks. The position requires five years of professional experience, in-depth knowledge of financial markets, and advanced proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg.
Tasks
- Support for various investment campaigns, data support operations, trading setups at other product banks, sales reports, reporting on trading relationships, and management of registrations and participants.
- Fully customizable analysis and execution of the re-evaluated investment campaign.
- Management and analysis of customer information flows.
- Coordinating administrative costs, scheduling office hours, consultations, and presentations, as well as distributing all external newsletters to the wealth management members of SMI and Newly-Handed Wealth Mid (Core Plus Max).
- Assistance with the preparation of market reports, outlooks (CFO), and newly launched newsletters.
- Coordinating coverage events, thematic coverage, and conference updates, as well as supporting a seamless partnership cycle.
- Collaboration with the Licensing and Legal Department to update research licenses, contractual licenses for key senior managers, and wealth fund operator licenses, including training for traders, teams, and operational processes, as well as ongoing monitoring, updates, and onboarding of the client data management team into the new system.
- Collaboration with regulatory specialists and representatives.
- Collaborative efforts to protect the team through functional and administrative oversight.
- Regularly review the functions performed to ensure that accuracy and availability are maintained at optimal levels.
- Reports to the Head of the Investment Campaigns & Communications Team.
Requirements
- Relevant college degree and professional background with 5 years of work experience.
- A solid understanding of financial markets and investment principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage complex business relationships.
- Preference for business applications such as Excel, Data, PowerPoint, and financial information/data systems, such as Bloomberg.
- Maintaining the interest and trust of the banks and subsidiaries.
- Comprehensive, long-term understanding and market knowledge of global investment industries, markets, and projects.
- Language skills: Proficiency in English (second language and native language).
- Collaboration with regulatory specialists and representatives.
- Knowledge of cross-border rules and regulations.
- Compliance with regulatory and compliance standards and requirements.
- Handling ad hoc technical issues/problems.
- Demonstration of appropriate clauses and transactions, including, but not limited to, standards for licensing and reporting, as well as use and disclosure; management of internal controls; management of conflicts of interest; competence and continuous development; delegated risk management; and compliance with laws and regulations.
