The Investor - LATAM is responsible for advising Latin American clients on investment matters and works closely with local investment and client relationship teams. The LATAM Investor position will be based in Miami and will serve as an investment advisor (Investor) for LATAM clients, working in close partnership with the local investment and client relationship teams in the client’s country (e.g., Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Colombia). The role requires a combination of global macroeconomic insight, multi-asset investment expertise, disciplined execution, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate investment views into clear, client-specific recommendations.Relevant tasks
- Partner with local investment specialists and relationship teams in LATAM countries to provide offshore investment advisory services from Miami, ensuring alignment between local client needs, cross-border restrictions, and global investment capabilities.
- Analyzing client portfolios, asset allocation, concentration risks, liquidity needs, performance characteristics, and suitability criteria to support investment recommendations and portfolio reviews that comply with all U.S. regulations.
- Develop structured narratives for client meetings that begin with the global macroeconomic context, link market trends to asset class performance, assess the impact on the client’s portfolio, and translate conclusions into actionable recommendations.
- Leverage artificial intelligence-powered tools, investment platforms, data analytics, and productivity solutions to enhance market research, customer prioritization, portfolio monitoring, investment screening, trend identification, execution discipline, and scalability, while ensuring appropriate human judgment, data confidentiality, and compliance standards.
- Prepare clear investment recommendations, portfolio review materials, client presentations, and follow-up notes for clients, bankers, local specialists, internal committees, and senior stakeholders.
- Monitoring portfolio positions and investment conditions, including maturities, cash balances, corporate actions, rating changes, capital calls, market risks, and opportunities for rebalancing or client engagement.
- Coordinate with the local specialist in Montevideo to ensure a seamless "one-team" customer experience, a clear division of responsibilities, timely execution, and consistent messaging.
- Analyze macroeconomic, political, regulatory, and industry-specific trends that influence investment opportunities in LATAM markets.
- Support investment implementation and order execution processes, including coordination with Trading, Operations, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Finance, Product, and external consulting teams.
- Contribute to regional strategy development by identifying market trends, competitive dynamics, emerging investment opportunities, and technology-driven value creation initiatives.
- Ensure that all investment activities comply with internal governance standards, regulatory requirements, and the risk management framework.
