ISDA Negotiator / Junior Lawyer (Associate or Vice President)
Nomura is seeking a dynamic ISDA negotiator or junior lawyer to join the Masters Documentation Team in the Legal Department to negotiate ISDA master agreements and other documents with funds and other partners. The successful candidate will work closely with the Risk Solutions team and have experience in negotiating ISDA master agreements and working with fund structures.

The role is within the Master Documentation Team and primarily supports the Risk Solutions business in negotiating fund-level hedging documents and long-form confirmations. Responsibilities include:- Negotiation of ISDA master agreements, CSAs, guarantees, long-form confirmations, and supplemental documents with a focus on various types of funds, including private equity/debt funds in multiple jurisdictions
- Collaboration with the Risk Solutions team and other internal stakeholders
- Explaining risks to front-office team members and internal stakeholders
- Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with tight deadlines
Requirements
Required experience and skills:- Excellent knowledge of negotiating ISDA master agreements, CSAs, guarantees, and long-form confirmations with counterparties
- Familiarity with negotiating master agreements in the context of fund structures (including private debt/equity funds, limited partnerships, and other types of fund entities)
- Strong organizational skills to balance a heavy workload and changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other negotiators, explain risks, and report issues to front-office team members and internal stakeholders
