IT auditor

LGT is seeking an experienced IT audit expert to perform risk-based audits in the areas of IT, data protection, and information security, and to develop recommendations for improving IT systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in IT auditing or in the field of IT/IT security and hold relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM.

Your area of responsibility

In this role, you will be part of an IT audit team and perform risk-based audits in the areas of IT, data protection, and information security—in modern IT environments with cloud, AI, cyber security technologies, mobile security, big data analytics, and DevOps/CI/CD. You will oversee IT processes, products, and concepts, identify bottlenecks, analyze risks and concepts, evaluate IT systems, and then formulate recommendations.
  • Impact through clear results—you prepare audit results tailored to the target audience, develop solutions, formulate concrete recommendations in report form, and substantiate them with IT expertise and management knowledge.
  • Helping shape the audit strategy - You actively contribute your IT and security expertise to the annual, risk-based audit planning process and help set the priorities for the coming years.
  • Focus on regulatory requirements and cybersecurity - You monitor developments in the areas of data protection, cybersecurity, and banking supervisory requirements and integrate these specifically into audit planning and implementation.
  • Further development of methods and tools - You will drive forward the modernization of our audit approach - for example, through the increased use of data analytics, AI agents, and other digital tools - and help to continuously improve our audit programs.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a recognized field of study or professional experience in IT audit or computer science/IT security
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in IT auditing or in the field of information technology or IT security
  • CISA, CISSP, CISM, or other certification or willingness to complete it
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Analytical thinking skills, sense of responsibility, conscientiousness, and ability to work in a team
  • Socially competent behavior, negotiation and persuasion skills
