IT Infrastructure Solution Architect (Infra Tech Lead)

Tasks

• Serve as a central point of contact for communication: bridge the gap between business, development, and technical requirements, and define cross-functional standards while driving security, compliance, and performance goals.
• Standardization and Architecture: Design and deliver independent reference architectures and best practices (e.g., network segmentation, observability frameworks, and disaster recovery) for application hosting platforms, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Promoting cloud-native and hybrid IT: Coordinate with technology teams and enable self-service operations by leveraging Azure PaaS capabilities and standardizing infrastructure patterns.
• Improving the customer experience: Provide technical and architectural insights to resolve issues before they arise and help development teams deliver within agreed-upon timelines, while minimizing dependencies and manual intervention.
• Driving technological development: Innovating and prototyping emerging technologies to keep the infrastructure modern, secure, and efficient.
• Ensure compliance: Make sure that every solution adheres to internal architecture guidelines to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Act as a trusted advisor: Serve as the first point of contact for projects and ARTs regarding technical solutions and topics at the mid-to-high level.
• Seamless coordination: Monitor the end-to-end flow of infrastructure tasks across departments and keep everything on track.
• Collaborating with Suppliers: Understand the technical details of solutions provided by suppliers and integrate them seamlessly into the overall architecture.
• Working hand in hand: Collaborating closely with IT infrastructure architects and engineers to build robust solutions.
• Bridging the Gap: Connecting business units, technical specialists, project managers, and infrastructure teams—translating needs into practical solutions.
• Enabling innovation: We support the development of new technology stacks and help design forward-looking infrastructure environments.

Requirements

• Architecture and Infrastructure Expertise: Solid experience in enterprise- or large-scale IT infrastructure architecture. Familiar with the key infrastructure layers and experienced in areas such as security, performance, and capacity management.
• Organized and proactive: You work independently, with a clear, goal-oriented mindset and a strong sense of personal responsibility.

• An architect at heart: You have a solid foundation in architectural principles, methodologies, and standard tools. Additional knowledge of Atlassian/Jira and/or Confluence or similar tools is a plus.
• Fluent in business English (spoken and written); knowledge of German is a plus.
