IT Risk and Governance Manager

The IT Risk and Governance Manager at Julius Baer in Singapore is responsible for managing IT risks and regulatory compliance, working closely with various IT functions and stakeholders to promote a strong risk culture. The position requires 5-10 years of experience in IT risk management, particularly in the banking industry, and strong technical knowledge and understanding of business and IT processes.

Tasks

  • Managing operational risks
  • Work closely with the Information Security function to support the implementation and/or mitigation of cyber risks
  • Collaborate with IT service owners to identify, mitigate, and address IT risks
  • Collaborate with IT project managers to identify, mitigate, and address residual risks from projects
  • Maintaining the IT risk register and working with risk owners to identify risks, track risk plans, and review risk treatment plans
  • Risk awareness training for IT staff
  • Contact person for internal and external audits, support with field work, including reviewing and collecting audit documentation, reviewing audit reports, and providing audit responses
  • Tracking audit corrective actions to ensure timely and proper handling of IT audit items
  • Cascading technological regulatory changes and collaborating with IT function owners to mitigate or address risks/gaps identified in assessments or reviews
  • Responsibility for the implementation and quality assurance of internal IT control plans
  • Monitoring of end-of-life technology, patch management, and end-user computing policies and compliance

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in IT risk management, preferably in the banking industry; experience in wealth management is an advantage
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Good understanding of business and IT processes, ITIL certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the technological regulatory framework in Singapore and Hong Kong
  • Familiarity with the technological regulatory framework and guidelines
