IT Sector Lead for Global Shared Services 100% (f/m/d)

Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Sector Lead to join the IT Application Management CH department in Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and expanding the platform deployment and for the line management of three teams that deliver IT services using in-house applications (.NET and Java) and global platforms (Business Process Management, Business Rules, Content Management).

Your challenge

Your responsibilities include:

• Actively promoting COO’s core values—trust, ambition, collaboration, and courage—to ensure appropriate, ethical, and compliant behavior and to serve as a role model
• Contribute to the IT division’s technology strategy and ensure alignment with the bank’s strategic direction and governance
• Leading three teams to proactively manage and continuously improve technical platforms such as RPA (robotic process automation), business process management, content management, and business rules
• Establishment and development of technical delivery teams across multiple locations to build a global engineering culture and a cross-site collaboration model for a modern, innovative, and efficient platform strategy
• Leadership as the technical counterpart to architecture and a strategic partner for business partners, ensuring coherent design decisions and platform development
• Budgeting and cost management for businesses, including vendor and license management, as well as leveraging nearshoring opportunities and cost efficiency
• Ensuring high-quality technical delivery through a strong engineering culture and modern development practices
• Monitoring effective risk management and resolving architectural or governance exceptions

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrable ability and experience in leadership roles in the IT sector, including the effective management of staff, performance management, and professional development
• Visionary thinking to guide and implement strategic initiatives
• Proven technical leadership in platform engineering, platform modernization, or related fields
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented strategies
• Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to new situations; ability to motivate others and collaborate across teams and cultures
