IT Sector Lead for Global Shared Services 100% (f/m/d)

Your challenge

• Actively promote the COO’s core values of trust, ambition, collaboration, and courage, and uphold Julius Baer’s purpose to ensure appropriate, ethical, and compliant behavior and to serve as a role model
• Contribute to the IT department’s technology strategy across all its components and ensure that it aligns with the bank’s strategic direction and governance. This includes, in particular, managing the technical transformation roadmap to evolve current platforms toward a global TOM, and aligning the architecture, processes, platform lifecycle, and workforce allocation
• Leading three teams to proactively manage and continuously improve technical platforms such as RPA (robotic process automation), business process management, content management, and business rules across various banking domains, as well as to deploy and operate business applications on these platforms
• Establishment and development of technical delivery teams across multiple locations to build a global engineering culture and a cross-site collaboration model for a modern, innovative, and efficient platform strategy
• Serve as the key technical point of contact for architecture and as a strategic partner for our business partners to ensure consistent design decisions and platform evolution
• Budgeting and cost management for businesses, including vendor and license management, as well as leveraging nearshoring opportunities and cost efficiency
• Ensuring high-quality technical delivery through a strong engineering culture and modern development practices to deliver projects and small IT assignments
• Monitoring effective risk management and resolving architectural or governance issues. Preventing and tracking architectural debt, risk mitigation measures, vulnerabilities, penetration test results, and other issues

Your profile

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrable ability and experience in leadership roles in the IT sector, effective management of staff—including performance management and professional development—as well as the development of future leaders
• A visionary mindset for designing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals
• Proven technical leadership in platform engineering, platform modernization, or Tareq operations
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented strategies
• Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to new situations; ability to motivate others and collaborate across teams and cultures
