IT Sector Lead for Global Shared Services 100% (f/m/d)

Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Sector Lead to join the IT Application Management CH team in Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and expanding the platform deployment and for the line management of three teams that deliver IT services using in-house applications (.NET and Java) and global platforms (Business Process Management, Business Rules, Content Management).

Your tasks

• Actively promote the COO’s core values—trust, ambition, collaboration, and courage—and lead by example
• Contribute to the IT department’s technology strategy and ensure that it aligns with the bank’s strategic direction and governance
• Lead 3 teams to proactively and continuously improve technical platforms such as RPA (robotic process automation), business process management, content management, and business rules across various banking domains
• Establish technical delivery teams at various locations and develop a global engineering culture as well as a model for cross-location collaboration to support a modern, innovative, and efficient platform strategy
• Act as a key partner for architecture and a strategic partner for business partners to ensure consistent design decisions and platform development
• Budgeting and cost management for operations, including vendor and license management, as well as leveraging nearshoring opportunities and cost efficiency

Your profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrable ability and experience in managing IT executives, effectively leading employees—including performance management and professional development—and developing leaders
• A visionary mindset for designing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals
• Proven technical leadership in platform engineering, platform modernization, or target operating model transformations
• A determined and results-oriented individual who works effectively and efficiently, even under high pressure
• In-depth understanding of modern platform technologies (e.g., .NET, Java, automation platforms, business process management, content management), cloud-native principles, and engineering best practices
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategies
• Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to new situations; ability to motivate others and collaborate across teams and cultures
