IT Sector Lead for Global Shared Services 100% (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled IT Sector Lead to oversee platform provisioning and line management for three teams and drive the technical transformation of the platforms. The ideal candidate has experience leading IT teams, technical leadership skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategies.
Your challenge
- Actively promote Julius Baer’s core values—trust, ambition, collaboration, and courage—as well as its purpose, to ensure appropriate, ethical, and compliant behavior and to serve as a role model
- Contribute to the IT department’s technology strategy across all areas and ensure that it aligns with the bank’s strategic direction and governance, particularly in implementing the technical transformation roadmap to evolve current platforms toward a global TOM, and to align architecture, processes, platform lifecycle, and workforce allocation
- Lead 3 teams to proactively manage and continuously improve technical platforms such as RPA (robotics), business process management, content management, and business rules across various banking domains, as well as to deliver and operate business applications that run on these platforms
- Establish technical delivery teams at various locations; develop a global engineering culture and a model for cross-location collaboration to support a modern, innovative, and efficient platform strategy
- Serve as a key technical point of contact for architecture and as a strategic partner for our business partners to ensure consistent design decisions and platform development
- Budgeting and cost management for operations, including vendor and license management, as well as leveraging nearshoring opportunities and cost efficiency
- Ensuring high-quality technical delivery through a strong engineering culture and modern development practices to deliver projects and small IT assignments
- Monitor effective risk management and the resolution of architectural or governance issues; prevent and track architectural debt, risk mitigation measures, vulnerabilities, penetration test results, and other issues
Your profile
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Proven ability and experience in leading IT teams, effectively managing employees—including performance management and professional development—and developing future leaders
- A visionary mindset for designing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals
- Proven technical leadership in platform engineering, platform modernization, or target operations
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented strategies
- Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to new situations; ability to motivate others and collaborate across teams and cultures
