We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Sector Lead to join the IT Application Management CH team in Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and expanding the platform deployment and managing three teams that deliver IT services using in-house applications (.NET and Java) and global platforms (Business Process Management, Business Rules, Content Management).Your challenge
- Actively promote the COO’s core values of trust, ambition, collaboration, and courage, as well as Julius Baer’s purpose, to ensure appropriate, ethical, and compliant behavior and to serve as a role model - Contribute to the IT department’s technology strategy and ensure that it aligns with the bank’s strategic direction and governance - Lead three teams to proactively manage and continuously improve technical platforms such as RPA (Robotics), Business Process Management, Content Management, and Business Rules across various banking divisions - Establish and develop technical delivery teams at various locations to build a global engineering culture and a model for cross-location collaboration for a modern, innovative, and efficient platform strategy - Serve as a key technical point of contact for architecture and as a strategic partner for our business partners to ensure coherent design decisions and platform development - Be responsible for budgeting and cost management of operations, including vendor and license management, as well as leveraging nearshoring opportunities and promoting cost efficiency - Ensure high-quality technical deliverables are produced through a strong engineering culture and modern development practices to deliver projects and small IT engagements - Oversee effective risk management and the resolution of architectural or governance exceptionsYour profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field - Proven ability and experience in IT leadership roles, including effective management of staff, performance management, and talent development, as well as leadership development - A visionary mindset to design and implement strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals - Proven technical leadership in platform engineering, platform modernization, or target operations - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented strategies - Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to new situations, ability to motivate others and work across teams and culturesWhat we offer
